Good Communication Awards 2006
The
Good Communication Awards 2006 event was held on Thurdsay June 22nd 2006.
There were four awards in the IT and e-Gov section :
- Accessibility Award
- Local Authority Website Award
- Central Government Website Award
- IT Partnership Award
We are pleased to say that Adur District Council's new look website was shortlisted for two of these awards and proud to announce that it won the award for website accessibility :

Accessibility Award
Presented to the Local Authority, Central Government department, community group or voluntary sector organisation that has made outstanding progress in using technologies to extend the delivery of information and services to include traditionally hard-to-reach groups such as users who are disabled or who have particular access needs. Entries were judged by an independent accessibility panel.

Authority Website Award
Awarded to the Local Authority site that has made outstanding progress in delivering legible and accessible information and online service to its citizens. Criteria include Site design, Navigation/ease of use, Accessibility, Takeup and Cost Effectiveness.
