Financial support for your business
Adur District Council works in partnership with Business Link to ensure businesses receive maximum financial support available. Adur District Council is unfortunately unable to operate a Business Grant Scheme within this financial year. However, please view the attached file for information on funding available from other partner organisations.
SEEDA innovation Voucher Scheme
Are you an SME in the SEEDA (not incl. London) region that could benefit from sustainability Research and Development? If so, then this new Innovation scheme could be just what you need.
SEEDA are offering Sustainability Vouchers to a value of £4k for SMEs wishing to commission Research and Development work from universities. The objective of the initiative is the encourage companies that would benefit from assistance from university knowledge and expertise to explore the opportunities for free or at least minimal risk.
The key features of the scheme are:
- The company must be an SME in the SEEDA region (not London)
- The knowledge partner does not necessarily have to be within the SEEDA region
- The sectors
covered are:
- 1.Construction: Retrofit, design or build of properties to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact
- 2.Renewable sources: efficiency and better management
- 3.Waste: Re-use and recycling of materials
- The work must help progress the sustainability agenda; construction, renewable sources or waste.
- The voucher is for a maximum of £4K
- The organisation should not have commissioned development work from a university previously
- 40 vouchers are available with initially a limit of one per company
- The assessment criteria are location, previous contact with a university, some match funding from the company, likely impact of the work, value for money and anticipated project duration.
- Applications will be reviewed by a small panel with an anticipated turn round time of no more than six weeks to keep up momentum.
