CenSus logoCentral Sussex Partnership (CenSus)

This is a partnership of three councils, Adur, Horsham and Mid-Sussex to work more closely together to deliver services.

It was established in 2004 and was based upon a premise that working together will reduce costs, improve service and provide greater resiliency. It originated from the requirement that all three councils had simultaneously to replace their Revenues Collection and Financial Management computer systems.

Currently it has two shared services, the joint ICT service and the joint Revenues and Benefits service. ICT is to be a joint service between MSDC and HDC (with ADC and Worthing BC utilising some services). Revenues and Benefits is a joint service of all three councils.

CenSus Joint Committee (became a committee on 11 December 2009)
(prior to this is was called CenSus Joint Steering Group)

The Joint Steering Group manages the day to day programme and plan the future direction of the partnership, in hand with the three districts.

CenSus Joint Committee (JC) / Joint Steering Group (JSG)

The member CenSus Joint Committee / Joint Steering Group contains two members from each council, as follows :

The chairmanship rotates each year between the councils. For 2009-10 it is Cllr Julie Searle from Adur District Council.

The committee currently meets quarterly.
