The current Cabinet Member for Health Safety and Wellbeing is :
- David Simmons (Cokeham Ward, Conservative)
Responsibility for the following delegated functions :
- Community safety;
- Community development;
- Public health, health protection and enforcement;
- Cross-cutting health issues and NHS liaison;
- Equalities;
- Children and young people;
- Partnership working, with voluntary and community organisations (including the Local Strategic Partnership);
- Health and safety and civil contingencies;
- Wellbeing and development functions for culture, leisure and sport;
- Foreshore management;
- Coastal protection.
