Joint Staff (Senior Appointments) Committee : Terms of Reference
Delegated functions
- To be responsible for the recruitment and selection of the Head of Paid Service (Chief Executive) and make recommendations to the Councils in respect of the Chief Executive appointment.
- To be responsible for the recruitment and selection of all staff at Strategic Director and Executive Head of Service level.
- To be responsible for grievance and disciplinary proceedings in respect of the Head of Paid Service, Monitoring Officer, statutory and non-statutory Chief Officers.
- To determine terms and conditions matters in respect of staff where these are to be dealt with by Members.
