What is Scrutiny?

Civic Awards

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee agreed to add to their work programme a request from the Chairman, Councillor Brian Coomber to carry out investigations into the introduction of an ‘Adur residents Civic Award’.

Terms of reference

• To carry out investigations into how an ‘Adur Residents Civic Award’ could be introduced at Adur.
• To report and make recommendations to the Leader of the Council.

At their meeting on 11th November 2008 the Committee agreed to appoint three members to a working group, these are:

• Councillor Carson Albury
• Councillor Emma Evans
• Councillor Tony Nicklen

The Working Group held three meetings and the notes from these can be found below:
