What is Scrutiny?
Review of Election cycles - Adur District Council
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee as part of their work programme have agreed to investigate whether Adur District Council should move from elections by halves to elections of the whole Council every four years.
Terms of reference
1 To carry out a review on behalf of Adur District Council as to whether they should move to four yearly (whole Council) elections.
2 To report and make recommendations to the Council on their findings.
At their meeting held on Tuesday 16th September 2008 the Committee determined the scope for the review, the report can be accessed here:
