Alcohol and drugs advice and support in Adur

Getting helpThere are places you can go for help if you want to address your own drug (or alcohol) use. Unfortunately most of the agencies which can help are based in Worthing, but there are sometimes ways you can receive help with your travel costs if you are on benefits.

If you want more details you can either contact the agencies below directly or contact Norma Buss, Community Alcohol and Drugs Worker.

Support for Friends and Families of Drug Users

Friends and Families Support Group

There are monthly support groups in Southwick and Lancing for those affected by someone else's drug or alcohol use. There is also a monthly support group in Southwick for anyone who is bereaved due to drug or alcohol user. For details of times and locations contact :

The Families and Friends Project

The service provides :

  • Information about drugs and alcohol, and where to get help
  • Contact with others who are going through similar experiences
  • Individual meetings
  • Telephone helpline
  • Support for friends and families of drug users
