Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
NA is a self-help group for drug users. They offer empathy and support in a drug-free environment. Many drug users who are struggling to become or stay drug free find the support of others who have coped with similar problems to be invaluable. There are meetings throughout Sussex. There is a weekly meeting on Mondays at 7.30, at the Church of St. Mary of the Angel, corner of Crescents and Richmond Roads.
For more details telephone (01273) 604604, or see their website at
Needle Exchanges
If you are an injecting drug user you should be aware of the dangers of sharing works (not just needles). Apart from the well-publicised risk of HIV, many intravenous drug users are carriers of the Hepatitis C virus. This is much more virulent than HIV, and prevention requires much more stringent precautions. To keep yourself (and others) safe use the free and confidential needle exchanges in the district :
- Bakhai Pharmacy, 7 East Street, Shoreham-by-Sea
- Greens Pharmacy, 103, St. Mary's Street, Shoreham-by-Sea
- Rowlands Pharmacy, 31 North Road, Lancing
- Martin’s Pharmacy, 6 Southwick Square, Southwick
