Anniversaries, celebrations and memorial days
Each year various days or events are celebrated or commemorated throughout the UK (and for some of them the rest of the world).

Remembrance
Day : 11th November (2 minutes of silence at 11:00am on November
11th - the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month).
Remembrance Sunday : is the Sunday nearest to 11th November.- Shrove Tuesday / Pancake Day : In February or March each year, the date varies as it is the last day before the start of Lent, the date of which is dependent on that of Easter.
