are always looking for ways of improving the quality of our service. Your
comments help us do this. We also want to know when something has gone wrong
with a service so we can put it right.
You can use the form below to make your comments or complaint.

If you need to complain to Adur District Council
If you need to complain please get in touch as soon as you can. Firstly, talk to the relevant person providing the service, tell them your concerns and what you would like us to do about it. If you remain unhappy, you can make a formal complaint by :
- filling in the form below, or
- speaking to the manager of the service, or
- writing a letter.
If you complain on this form or by letter, we will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and send you a response within ten working days.
If you are unhappy with the response to your complaint, you can ask the customer services department to look into the matter further. We will include details about how to do this in the reply to your complaint.

Sussex County Council has a complaints procedure.
If you need to complain to West Sussex County Council
If you need to complain to West Sussex County Council please get in touch as soon as you can.
Firstly you will need to talk to the relevant service manager. Tell them your concerns and what you would like them to do about it. If your complaint is not satisfied as this stage contact the West Sussex County Council Chief Executive, who will review the matter.

Local Government Ombudsman
If
you still remain unhappy, you can contact the Local Government Ombudsman.
We can send you a form telling you how to do this. You can also pick up this
form from any of our reception points, your local library or the Citizens
Advice Bureau.
The normal practice of the Ombudsmen is not to begin an investigation until the council has had the opportunity to try and resolve the complaint. It is important, therefore, that you contact us first.
