Concessionary Travel Scheme
Concessionary Travel Scheme - Important News - from the 1st April 2011 responsibility for Concessionary Travel moved to West Sussex County Council (WSCC). However, the administration and any queries will continue to be dealt with by Adur and Worthing Councils. The WSCC Scheme introduced the following changes from 1st April 2011:
- Anyone who has applied for a bus pass on the basis of a disability will be able to travel free at any time if their journey starts within West Sussex and between 9:30am and 11:00pm Monday to Friday and all day weekends and Bank Holidays elsewhere.
- Anyone who has a companion bus pass, their companion will be able to travel under the same time conditions as them,however, the companion will have to pay full fare if their journey starts outside West Sussex.
- The alternative concession of a Senior Citizens or Disabled Persons Railcard exchange order will be available to Worthing residents as well as Adur residents. There will be no charge for this alternative.
- The alternative concession of Travel Vouchers will continue to be available to Adur residents only.
