State of the District Debate, 26 January 2002
As part of the new council constitution a commitment was made to hold a 'state of the district debate'. Adur Council is keen to hear the views of its community, so on 26 January 2002 a debate was held at the Shoreham Centre.
Representatives from organisations, community groups and local residents were present. Over one hundred people came along, this included the local Member of Parliament and councillors.
Some of the Issues that were discussed were :
- Housing
- Transport
- Young people
- Health
