About Councillor Emma Evans
When and why I became a Councillor :
This is the first time I have stood as a candidate in an election. Although my brother is just starting his second term as Councillor for Hillside Ward.
Whilst I agree with the help given to the old and very young within our community. I feel that sometimes the needs of families with children/ teenagers are not given sufficient consideration.
When can you meet me?
I can be contacted by phone and e-mail and I am happy to meet anybody with an issue they wish to raise. Councillor Jim Funnell and I will be arranging joint surgery dates in the near future.
What would I like to achieve as your Councillor?
I will strive to make sure that we provide the best possible services within a reasonable Council tax commitment.
What am I doing on the Council?
I am on the Development Control Committee and Constitution & Audit Committee. I am policy advisor to Councillor Jim Funnell who is Cabinet Member for Regeneration. I am on the Constitution and Audit Committee.
