About Councillor Keith Dollemore
My interests :
I served 30 years as a policeman and during this time I developed an interest in our streets, commercial centres, parks and facilities. Our environment, which has an effect on our well-being and enjoyment of life. I am particularly interested in Crime and Disorder matters, traffic and highway issues. We are all responsible for these but someone has to take the lead: Councillors and officers of the council.
When and why I have become a councillor :
This leads to why I stood for election to be a District Councillor. Like most people I have my moans and groans about council services and the council tax. I thought I would try and do more than just groan.
When can you meet me?
I don't hold regular surgeries but you can contact me by e-mail, letter or telephone and I will meet you by arrangement if appropriate.
What would I like to achieve as your councillor :
As a Councillor I would like to provide cost effective services to the District. Cut out waste and bureaucracy and all the hot air expounded on ideals.
But what about you? What are you thoughts? E-mail me though I don't promise a reply or anything else. Are we getting it right?
My current role on the council :
I am Cabinet Member for Clean and Green Environment. I am also a member of the Joint Delivery Committee and the Joint Strategic Committee.
