About Councillor Peter Metcalfe :

My interests and Hobbies

I have been very active in local issues and I have a great amount of energy that I am able to put into the community.

My Hobbies include golf, walking, reading and I’m trying to master ballroom dancing.

When and why I became a Councillor

1st May 2008 is when I became a councillor.

I became a Councillor because I’m very keen on and interested in the local community, too also act as bridge between us local residents and the Council.

I am available to discuss any problems or issues that you may have. Plus of course listen to any positive ideas.

When can you meet me?

I can be contacted at home or via email.

What would I like to achieve as your Councillor?

I like making a contribution to help keep Southwick and Adur nice for all of us to enjoy. I live here and have done for the last 30 years.

I do care about anti-social behaviour, respect and care for our senior citizens and helping all the local community with their issues.

What am I doing on the Council?

I am very pleased to be the Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee and am also on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

I sit on the Shoreham and Southwick Citizens Advice Bureau on behalf of the council.

I am also a policy adviser to the Cabinet.
