About Councillor Julie Searle

My interests :

My background is Chemical Engineering and I have worked in Southwick Square since January 1990. I have two children and am a member of St. Julian's Church and a governor of St. Nicholas and St. Mary's School.

When and why I have become a councillor :

I have been a councillor since May 2000. I wanted residents to have pride in Adur where they live and work.

When can you meet me?

Please feel free to contact me on my home number or e-mail address. We quite often have street surgeries in Southwick Square. If you see me out and about in the area, feel free to stop me and talk to me then.

What would I like to achieve as your councillor :

To help residents to live and work in a clean, green and safe environment.

My current role on the council :

I am Cabinet Member for Improved Customer Services.

I am also serving on the Joint Staff Committee, the Joint Strategic Committee and the CenSus Joint Committee.

I am also Deputy Leader of Adur District Council.
