About Councillor Brian Coomber

My Interests/ hobbies

I am interested in fine arts, music and history, especially the development of societies. I am an active ‘broadcaster’ on, and Vice-Chairman of, Adur Talking News, which produces CD’s of news and general interest, weekly for the blind and partially sighted.

When and why I have become a councillor:

I was asked to stand for Adur District Council in 2000. I have always had an interest in politics. It is important to help people to help themselves, giving them the chance to be as independent as possible in order to maintain their dignity and self-esteem.

When can you meet me ?

I am always available on the contact details given above.

What would I like to achieve as your councillor:

I would like to achieve an ordered and peaceful society where everybody has consideration and respect for each other.

My current role on the council:

Currently I am on the Planning Committee.
