West Sussex County Council (WSCC) Sitting Service
Caring for a child or young person with a disability is demanding and, at times, exhausting. Carers need a break from caring to recharge their batteries in all sorts of different ways. Finding someone who can take care of their child or children under these circumstances can be a major problem.
The WSCC Sitting Service provides volunteer carers for families with children with disabilities which allows parents to take a much-needed break from caring.
- More information is available on the WSCC sitting service webpage (www.westsussex.gov.uk/living/social_care/people_with_disabilities/children_with_disabilities_and/sitting_service.aspx)
