Cavity wall and loft insulation grants (June 2008)

We are pleased to tell you about various grant schemes that are currently available for cavity wall and loft insulation as part of the council's commitment to energy conservation. These grants are available only through HCL Energy Ltd.

Part Payment grants

Part Payment grants are available and the householder contribution is based on property and heating type as follows :

  • Semi-detached houses and bungalows : Type of heating : Gas / Oil
    • Cavity wall insulation : £199.00
    • Loft insulation : £199.00
  • Semi-detached houses and bungalows : Type of heating : Electric / Coal
    • Cavity wall insulation : £199.00
    • Loft insulation : £199.00
  • Detached houses and bungalows : Type of heating : Gas / Oil
    • Cavity wall insulation : £199.00
    • Loft insulation : £199.00
  • Detached houses and bungalows : Type of heating : Electric / Coal
    • Cavity wall insulation : £199.00
    • Loft insulation : £199.00

All prices show the householder's contribution which includes VAT and CIGA independent guarantee for cavity wall insulation. Extra large properties may attract a small additional charge. (Surveyor will advise). Loft insulation prices start from stated price depending on existing level of insulation. (Surveyor will advise). Please note grant funding is limited and subject to availability. Prices may vary depending on current available funding.

100% grants

100% grants are available if you or your partner is in receipt of one of more of the following benefits :

  • Aged 70 or over and not receiving any benefits
  • Disability Living and Working Allowance
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Income Support
  • Housing Benefit
  • Pension Credit
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit & Working Families Tax Credit (maximum income £15,592.00)

HCL Energy are one of a number of companies whom carry out grant schemes. However, the Council is unable to endorse any particular contractor or company, or take responsibility for any contractual or financial arrangements entered into with a contractor.
