Events and days out in Adur and Worthing

Shoreham Horticultural and Allotment Society Events

We have regular monthly meetings on the first Friday of each month (with the exception of January when there is no meeting) held at St. Peter's Catholic Church Hall, West Street, Shoreham-by-Sea starting 7.30pm.

The following events are all annual events that happen around the same time every year, but exact dates will vary slightly each year.

Plant Sale
Saturday 14th May, 2011 : 10am to 12 noon

• Forecourt of Shoreham Centre, Pond Road
• Selections of bedding and vegetable plants on sale plus various stalls

Meet and Greet
Saturday 21st May, 2011 : 10am to 12 noon

• Ham Field Allotments - these can be approached either from Eastern Avenue through track at traffic lights, or from Nicholson Drive and go right to the end. Both are approachable by car. There will be 'A' boards out at entrance of allotments where the Meet and Greet is being held
• Guided tour of allotments with allotment holder. usually a member of society committee
• Plants for sale
• Refreshments
• Police on site to answer questions on security issues

Early Summer Show
Saturday 11th June, 2011 : 12 noon to 3.30pm

• Shoreham Centre, Pond Road
• The show consists of exhibits of flowers, pot plants and vegetables
• Also a number of different stalls which include a raffle and tombola
• At the end of the show there will be a presentation of trophies and auction of produce left by exhibitors
• The entry fee is 30p

Main Summer Show
Saturday 13th August, 2011 : 12 noon to 3.30pm

• Shoreham Centre, Pond Road
• The show consists of exhibits of flowers, pot plants and vegetables
• Also a number of different stalls which include a raffle and tombola
• At the end of the show there will be a presentation of trophies and auction of produce left by exhibitors
• The entry fee is 30p

Autumn Flower and Produce Show
Saturday 15th October, 2011 : 12 noon to 3.30pm

• At the end of the show there will be a presentation of trophies and auction of produce left by exhibitors
• The entry fee is 30p
