Facts and figures about Adur

Ward profiles

Ward profiles 2011

The West Sussex Research Unit (West Sussex County Council and NHS Sussex) have released updated 2011 Ward Profiles for West Sussex. They contain statistical data for all of the electoral wards in West Sussex enabling you to compare data from one ward to another. These profiles are an update on those released in 2009 (also available on this web page). They are an improvement as they contain additional data including information on deprivation.

To analyse the data use the drop down boxes at the top of the page to choose the ward you want data on and then choose another ward to compare the data to.

WARNING: this is a very large Excel file (1.6mb) which contains macros. You will need to click on 'enable macros' when you open the file if you get prompted to do so.

Ward profiles 2009

Statistical data for the whole of West Sussex can be found on the West Sussex Ward Profiles 2009. These are compiled by West Sussex County Council and the West Sussex Public Health Observatory. They contain data on a broad range of issues down to electoral ward level. Districts and Boroughs are broken down into these electoral ward areas. Adur is divided into 14 electoral wards and Worthing into 13. Data contained in the ward profiles includes: population figures, ethnic background, household types, council tax bands, qualifications, benefits, general health, deprivation and crime. You can see this data for one ward and compare it to any other ward in West Sussex. The only word of warning is that some of the data is quite old now as it is taken from the most recent national census in 2001.

The link below enables you to compare any two wards in West Sussex. By default it is set to Buckingham and Churchill wards in Adur, but you can change these by selecting any wards from the drop down menus (click on the small triangle on the right hand side of the ward name).

WARNING: this is a very large Excel file (7mb) which contains macros. You will need to click on 'enable macros' when you open the file if you get prompted to do so.
