Housing

Asylum seekers

Adur District Council has no direct role to play in the administration of asylum seekers' claims. In certain circumstances asylum seekers may be eligible to apply for district council services depending entirely on their immigration status. This may include eligibility under homelessness laws, and entitlement to benefits such as Housing Benefit for example.

For further initial information on these aspects, the Council's Housing Advice service may be able to assist.
