Treating People Fairly - Equality and Diversity
Equality and diversity is something that affects everyone.
We recognise that we all want to live in communities where everyone can participate fully and equally. This means making sure that customers and staff do not receive different treatment because of their age, disability, faith, sexuality, ethnicity and/or gender.
Our aim is to be responsive to the needs of all communities and individuals that we serve. We are committed to removing discrimination and providing real opportunities for our customers and staff, ensuring that no one feels excluded or disadvantaged.
If you have a need to receive communications from us in LARGE PRINT, or BRAILLE format please contact us.
Diversity data
Our tenants are from a diverse number of backgrounds. We ask for data on ethnicity and diversity regularly, in order to check that all groups in the community are being treated equally. All tenants have the option to decline to answer.
We also monitor and respond to national trends such as :
- Internet usage (www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/rdit2/internet-access---households-and-individuals/2011/stb-internet-access-2011.html)
- the Digital Switchover (www.digitaluk.co.uk) - see also our Digital TV switchover webpage
