Adur Leisure and Community Grants - Introduction to funding scheme
Adur District Council Community Grants are administered by the Council’s Community Wellbeing team based at the Civic Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea.
The purpose of the Community Grants Scheme is to :
- Help local organisations to develop projects that help improve services or to try something new.
- PLEASE NOTE: Grants for training and personal development are only available for up to £500 and you should use the application form related to that scheme. Ask the Community Wellbeing Team for details.
Up to £500 funding - Who can apply?
- Any groups or organisations working with local people
- Any individual living within the Adur District - for training and personal development.
- Groups and Individuals can apply for up to £500 and can make more than one application each financial year - as long as the total requested does not exceed £500 in any financial year.

Up to £10,000 funding - Who can apply
- Any groups or organisations working with local people in the Adur District
- This application pack is for grants of up to £10,000 and only constituted groups and organisations can apply.
- Please note: We cannot accept applications from individuals.
- How much can you apply for?
- Groups or organisations can apply for up to £10,000 in any one financial year and can only make one application for funding each financial year.
- We can only fund projects that will take place within the funding year. We cannot fund core costs if they are not related specifically to a project.
- Grants must be spent within the financial year in which they are awarded.
