: The gateway to information from across Whitehall
Managed by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister with five other departments, info4local is an easy way to keep up to date with information from across central government. Thousands of people subscribe to its free, daily e-mail alert service.
info4local has grown dramatically since it was set up with a handful of contributors in 2000. It now covers information from nearly 60 government departments, agencies and public bodies.
It gives links, with summaries, to the latest publications and web pages of contributors, as well as linking to their news releases.
You
can get the most up to date information delivered direct by signing up for
the popular e-mail alert.
You can also use the Info4local RSS feeds.
Feedback from users in local authorities and the wider public and voluntary sectors is good. One user has described the service as "first class" and another as "one of the most useful government services I know of".
Find out more, and sign up for their e-mail alert or RSS feeds, by visiting www.info4local.gov.uk.
