Lottery money could make park swing again
Ref : 06/040 : Date : 26-04-2006
Shadwells Park in Sompting could get a massive facelift with lottery funding if a bid by local residents is successful. Adur Council who are supporting the initiative will hold two consultation events one on Thursday 27 April (3pm - 7pm) and another on Saturday 29 April (10am - 3pm). Both events will take place at a marquee at the playground.
Residents and local children will have a chance to see all the latest in play equipment and children can use their creative talents to show what they would like to see.
The council started the project at the end of 2005 by asking local people to get involved and work with them to replace worn out play equipment.
Local residents are also invited to a meeting on Wednesday 10 May from 6.30pm - 8pm at Shadwells Court day room on the Mash Barn estate in Sompting.
