Manor Close planning inquiry adjourned

A planning inquiry to look into a scheme to build up to a 100 new affordable homes at the end of Manor Close Lancing which started on the 1 November was adjourned after one day. Adur Council had refused planning permission for the scheme but developers Whitgift Homes Ltd appealed against the decision.
Planning inspector Michael Ellison adjourned the inquiry until the 31 January to allow local residents time to comment on revised highway plans recently submitted.
Adur Council's head of planning and community Peter Davies, said: "The latest scheme for altering the access into Manor Close from the A27 means more people living along Old Shoreham Road and in Manor Way could be affected. Therefore it is only right they have the chance to comment and speak at the inquiry if they want to."
The council will write to those affected in the near future. The revised plans for the highway works will be available to see at the Civic Centre in Shoreham next week. The Inspector has given residents until 18 December to submit their written comments to the council and to the
