Council wants to know what people think of the designs for a new skatepark
in Southwick recreation ground. A display of all the designs will be on show
at Southwick Leisure Centre from Wednesday 10 to Monday 15 January 2007.
The new skatepark will be sited in a different area of the recreation ground to the current one. A planning application will be submitted by March and if all goes according to plan a new skatepark could be up and running by May this year.
The Indoor Bowls club also at the recreation ground are giving the council financial support with this project.
Adur Council parks manager, Clive Bramble said: "This is a great chance to have your say on the new site facility details."
"I know the local skaters have had problems with the existing site ramps so this is their chance to make sure the new site is right for their use and has the right surfacing too."
"It is also marvellous that the Indoor Bowls club want to support the youngsters facility and Impulse leisure are allowing the designs on display in the reception area."
"Now do your bit and come along, make your choice and help us achieve what is required by you."
