Help choose design for Ham skatepark
Ref : 07/059 : Date : 19-06-2007
Adur Council wants to know which skatepark design people want for the Ham Recreation Ground in Shoreham. The skateboarders and bikers working with the council on this project have four designs to choose from.
A display with all the designs goes on show for comment from Wednesday 20 June until Friday 29 June 2007 at the Civic Centre in Shoreham.
A successful Big Lottery bid, announced in February, has helped towards
the funding of this project with £135,000 earmarked for the Ham skate
park. Over 40 committed local skateboarders and BMX riders have been involved
in making sure the designs on show will be what people want.
Parks Manager, Clive Bramble, who is leading this project said: “If all goes according to plan we hope to have this fantastic new skatepark open by next spring, if not before. So come and have a look at the display and tell us what you think.”
