Recycle your old jewellery for the Adur Women’s Refuge
Ref : 08/009 : Date : 22-01-2008
Adur District Council Chairman, Brenda Collard has come up with a great
way to make money for her chosen charity the Adur Women’s Refuge. By
recycling your old jewellery you and Brenda can help fund the important work
of the Women’s refuge.
The appeal for donations has already started and runs until Friday 8th February 2008. Every little will help, from some earrings you no longer wear to a complete spring clean of your jewellery box. You can even donate damaged, broken and incomplete items, so a broken chain would be a great place to start.
Adur District Council Chairman, Brenda Collard says, “This recycling scheme is a great way to help a charity that is essential to the Adur District. Any jewellery donations small or large will be greatly appreciated.”
To make a donation you can collect an envelope from Civic Centre, Help point. Or contact Chris Cadman-Dando at the Civic Centre on (01273) 263025, or Carole Whitcomb at our offices in Commerce Way on (01273) 263162.
Everyone who donates will be entered into a prize draw to win an Mp3 player. A name will be pulled out of a hat at the end of the appeal.
