A new wave in clubbing
Ref : 08/034 : Date : 14-04-2008
The Blue Starfish Club – a new club night for people with learning disabilities and their friends – is being launched
- On: Monday 28 April 2008 from 7pm to 10pm
- At: Worthing Assembly Rooms, Stoke Abbot Road, Worthing
With the emphasis is on socialising and dancing, the club is a chance for learning disabled people to hang out with other men and women of their own age in a safe environment. There is a bar for drink and food, a chill–out area and dance floor.
Organised by West Sussex Arts Partnership, in conjunction with Carousel, the night includes DJs Chris Love and Richard West along with local learning disabled DJs, rock band Beat Express, films presented by Junk TV and a performance by the Pines Day Centre.
The live performances celebrate the artistic achievements of people with learning disabilities as artists and participants.
Carousel’s Club Nights take place across East and West Sussex and are hugely popular. Are you ready Worthing and Adur?!
Tickets are available on the door £3.00 each (carers free)
