Chairman's Christmas service
Ref : 08/103 : Date : 09-12-2008
People
are invited by Adur Council Chairman, Brian Coomber, to start the fun and
festivities with Christmas carols and readings at St Mary de Haura Church,
Shoreham-by-Sea on Wednesday 17th December 2008.
Music for the service is provided by the Trout Quintet, Alan Hemsley, children from St Nicolas and St Mary’s primary school, the Shoreham Chamber Choir and the Tonic Quartet.
The readings, many by local children, are unusual, quirky and entertaining. The collection will be donated to the Chairman’s charities - the RNLI Lifeboat Appeal and the Adur Special Needs Project.
The service starts at 6.30pm and people are invited to join Brian afterwards for mulled wine and mince pies.
Brian said: “Please come and enjoy yourselves.”
