Adur District Five Year Housing Land Supply Assessment 2011-2016
Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing (PPS3) published in November 2006 and revised in June 2011, requires Local Planning Authorities to ensure that there is a continuous five year supply of deliverable sites available for housing in the District.
The Department for Communities and Local Government has produced guidance on how to demonstrate a five year supply of deliverable housing sites. This assessment has been undertaken and concludes that Adur District Council can demonstrate a five year supply of deliverable sites for residential development for the period 2011 to 2016.
The draft National Planning Policy Framework, published in July 2011, indicates that there will be a continued requirement to maintain and report on a five year housing land supply.
