Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)

Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council commissioned Capita Symonds consultants to undertake a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) which they produced in January 2008.

The Council is required to prepare an SFRA to support the development of the Local Development Framework (LDF). The SFRA creates a strategic framework for the consideration of flood risk when making planning decisions and has been developed with reference to the national Planning Policy Statement 25 (PPS25): development and flood risk, and additional guidance provided by the Environment Agency. It is used to demonstrate that a risk based, sequential approach to preparing development plans has been taken.

Note : Some of the attached PDF files that contain mapping may not display properly in your web browser if you are running Adobe Acrobat Reader 9. However, if you save the PDF files down to your hard disk and then open them from there using Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 they will open quite happily. These files have been created by an outside body and their content and file structure is beyond our control. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
