Community Planning
Community Planning is about meeting the longer-term needs of people in the area by knowing what those needs are, and planning work to meet them.
No one organisation, group or service alone can tackle every issue, which is why the Councils and a wide range of other organisations in Adur and Worthing work together in a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). Their guiding document, published in June 2010, is called Waves Ahead, and is a strategy lasting until 2016. It tells what partners will do together to tackle issues such as helping people lead healthier lifestyles, improving people’s education and employment skills, preventing crime and disorder, and encouraging local business.
For more details see the Waves Ahead webpage.
Community Planning is part of the work of the Communities Team, and can be contacted on 01273 263178 or you can send Community Planning an e-mail.
