A Community Profile for Adur
Adur District Council and West Sussex County Council jointly commissioned this Community Profile for the District in 2002.
It brings together for the first time information specific to Adur ranging from the economy through to health, crime and the environment and provides a 'snapshot' of life in the District at the beginning of the 21st Century. The Profile also sets the District within the County and National context.
The Profile will be an invaluable tool with which to consult with our local communities and on which to base decision making both by the District Council and its Partners. The Profile is set out on ten chapters : Demography, Deprivation, the Local Economy, Housing, Education, Health, Social Care, Crime and Community Safety, The Environment and Lifestyle and Leisure.
The Profile will be updated as the 2001 census information is released in its complete form later this year.
The Executive Summary contains the main findings from each chapter, and it and each complete chapter may be downloaded from the links below.
All documents are provided in Adobe Acrobat format. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. If you don't have this, simply click on the link at the bottom left hand of this page and you will be directed to the Adobe website where you can download the free reader.
If you would like to discuss the Community Profile please contact the Community Well-being Manager.
