Racist incidents
Adur District Council is committed to promoting good race relations and to taking action against racism. As part of this committment we need to monitor the number of racist incidents (or racial incident) in our district and more importantly offer advice and support to victims of racism.
A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person. Racist incidents can be directed at someone or their property because of their race, colour, nationality, religious beliefs, ethnic or cultural background. Examples include : threats, insults, taunting, personal attacks, arson, graffiti, leaflets, etc.
For further information or to report a racist incident please contact either the Equal Opportunities and Training Officer or Adur District Council's main switchboard number and ask to report a racist incident.
