Value Statement (replaces the previous Council Strategy)
At the Council meeting on 18th November 2004, Members agreed their new Value Statement by which the council will set its policies for the forthcoming 3/4 years as :
"To put the customer at the heart of our business"
The principles underpinning this commitment and by which the council will seek to work are as follows :
- To act always with fairness, integrity and courtesy
- To consult with and listen to the people of Adur and to enable opportunities for involvement in the council's decision making processes
- To strive to deliver our services as efficiently, effectively and economically as possible
- To work in partnership where it is in the best interests of the council and the people of Adur
- To ensure equal access to information and council services
- To value our staff and to seek to develop their potential
The Value Statement replaces the previous Council Strategy. Please disregard any copies of that strategy you may still have in your possession.
