  • Certain buildings 'dated' and 'ugly'
  • Parcel Force, Council Offices Pond Road Community Centre problem areas
  • Traditional local building style is important
  • Surrounding buildings should not dominate St Mary's Church
  • Develop squares and piazzas where people can sit
  • Create traffic-free interconnections between Pond Road Community Centre and East Street

Waterfront and footbridge :

  • The waterfront is an asset that could be better utilised
  • Opportunity to open up views of waterfront from High Street
  • Footbridge is 'ugly and narrow'
