Street closures and road closures (for events)

If you need to apply for the closure of a street or road in Adur for an event please note that the council takes approximately eight to twelve weeks to process an application for a street closure and therefore applicants need to plan ahead.

There is a fee payable which is currently £100 without which we cannot process an application.

Each application must be supported with a street plan showing the road closure and the fee.

Please complete your application on-line :

You will need to speak to the Road Closures Officer about the special conditions that are normally imposed on the application and the type of signs that the Police recommend should be used for road closures.

For further information please contact the Road Closures Officer.
