Wheelie bin recycling scheme (and Blue Box recycling)
From
1st April 2008 the recycling service has been run by Adur & Worthing
Council Services (AWCS).
Adur District Council has operated a recycling scheme scheme since 1991. It collects recyclable materials direct from resident's properties thereby diverting them from landfill sites.
Your household rubbish and recycling are collected on the same day.
To find out which round you will fall into please see our :
The
old blue boxes have now been replaced by the blue lidded wheelie bins across
most of the Adur District. To
find out more information about the new wheelie bins see our :
However, the following roads in Shoreham-by-Sea town centre may still use blue boxes, if you live in one of these and require a replacement or additional blue recycling box then please use the form below :
- Brighton Road (nos. 368-410)
- Brunswick Road
- Church Street
- East Street
- Ham Road
- High Street
- John Street
Middle Street- New Road
- North Street
- Pond Road

If you do not live in one of the streets listed above then do not order a blue box but please order a recycling wheelie bin on the AWS website (www.aws.gov.uk/recycling/#forms).
For the properties listed above : They are collected on a weekly basis and do not change for bank holidays. They also get a choice if they want bins or not, as not all properties can store them, and they can have blue boxes, blue bags or wheeled bins for recycling, or sacks or wheeled bins for refuse. The collection day is Thursday, and garden waste is collected on a Wednesday.
