Broken glass and sharp objects

Every year our collectors are injured, sometimes seriously, by broken glass or sharp objects unprotected in refuse bags and blue boxes.

Broken glass or sharp objects should be :

• Double wrapped in newspaper
    and
• Placed in a separate suitable container
    and
• Clearly labelled

This will be removed in your normal refuse not your blue box.
