Remember the 'slipping days' :
Adur District Council wishes to remind people that the collection day for your waste will change whenever there is a bank holiday. The system, called 'slipping day' means that whenever there is a bank holiday, the day your waste is collected will 'slip back' by one or two days. The number of days 'slipped' will equal the number of bank holidays (eg two days at Easter).
For example, if before Easter you had your recycling and waste collected on a Monday, then your collection day will move back two days to Wednesday and will remain as a Wednesday until the next bank holiday (in May) when it will 'slip' again to become Thursday and so on.
