Where is Adur?

How to get here by sea ...

  • Cross channel ferries run from France, Spain, Belgium, Holland and Scandinavia to Dover, Newhaven, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton, Harwich, Hull, and Folkestone.  
  • Shoreham-by-Sea, Brighton and Newhaven all have Marinas for light vessels.

Driving from the Channel Ports in Kent (approx. 1 hour 45 mins).

From channel ports at Dover : Pick up the A20 to Folkestone. The A20 then becomes the M20 at Folkestone. Then follow the directions from Folkestone below.

From the Channel Port at Folkestone : Follow the M20, then the M26, then the M25 to junction 7. At junction 7 pick up the M23 and head south. The M23 becomes the A23 at Crawley. Just as you enter Brighton you pass under the A27 - follow the signs for Worthing onto the A27. Continue west along the A27 and through the road tunnel at Portslade. Leave the A27 as you cross the Shoreham flyover next to the River Adur. Follow the signs south (A283) to Shoreham-by-Sea.
