Cemeteries and graveyards

The following cemeteries and graveyards are administered by Adur District Council :

• Lancing & Sompting Cemetery
  (and memorial gardens)
• Shoreham Burial Ground (Mill Lane)
• Southwick Cemetery (Downsway)
• St Nicolas Churchyard, Shoreham-by-Sea

• St Michaels & All Angels, Lancing (grass mown by Lancing Parish Council)

To erect a new or make changes to an existing memorial please arrange direct with your supplier, these may include changes to :

• Graves
• Cremation plots
• Lawn cremation plots

Memorial gardens

There are two memorial gardens in the Adur District, these are :

• Croft Avenue / Manor Rest Gardens, Southwick
• Cross Road Rest Gardens, Southwick

Crematoria

There are no crematoria in the Adur district, the closest are :

• Brighton and Hove District (to the east of Adur) :

Burial arrangements

Burial arrangements are normally made via an undertaker who will contact Adur Council if required. This also applies to public health burials where the undertaker or police must contact environmental health via the Environmental Health Department who can be contacted direct on (01273) 263331
or send Environmental Support an e-mail
