Pay and display car parks and season tickets

All of Adur's car parks are now pay and display. A rolling program is taking place for the installation of ticket machines to the sites currently without this facility.

The car parks are now split into two categories : long and short stay (see car park list below for details).

Car park season tickets

You can also apply for a car park season ticket on-line for our long stay car parks. An Adur DC car park season ticket will allow you to park in any of Adur DC's long stay car parks, but does not entitle you to use any of the short stay or residents only car parks. Current car park season ticket prices are shown in the car park list below.

'Residents only' car park season tickets are also available for the small residents only car park at 60 Brighton Road. This is available at £100 per year. From 1st April 2008 residents who have a valid season ticket for the Brighton Road residents only car park will be able to purchase books of visitor's tickets to allow their visitors to park in the Brighton Road residents only car park. For details of the 'Beach Green Car Park Resident Permit' (for houseboat owners only) see the car park list below.

As from the 1st April 2008 season tickets prices will be as follows :

Car clampCar clamping

With one exception, Adur District Council are not involved in any clamping to enforce parking restrictions.

Adur District Council’s one clamping exception is at Southwick Square (which is managed by the Council’s Estates Section). If you are clamped whilst parked at Southwick Square please contact :

  • Guardian Parking Management on 08706 20 11 30 (24 hour line)
This is a private company who carry out this contracted service on behalf of Adur Council.

For more information send Estates an e-mail.

If the car has been clamped anywhere other than Southwick Square, then it has not been clamped by Adur District Council.

From the 1st April 2008 we will be introducing Guardian for clamping any unauthorised vehicles at Brighton Road residents car park which do not display either a valid resident's season ticket or a valid visitors permit - see above for details of season and visitor's tickets.

West Sussex County Council also do not enforce parking restrictions by clamping. Please visit the WSCC car clamping webpage for more information (www.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/content/roads-and-transport/motor-vehicles-and-parking/parking/on-street-enforcement/wheel-clamps---removals.en).
